Where was Alfred born

I am looking for where my godfather Alfred Kay was born.
Alfreds d.o.b was as far as I ever knew 18.8.1912.His mother was Harriet ?
Harriet had 3 sons ,Alfred,Stanley & Ronald.One of the latter 2,I think Ronnie as he was known,was Uncle Alf's half brother.Harriet had married  a Charles Outhwaite at some point & Uncle Alf used to call him Charlie.My Mum & Dad always said that Uncle Alf was of Jewish stock & he certainly looked it as did his mother who was a lovely looking lady.Harriet was the landlady of a public house in Salford during the
1950's.
Alfred was in the Pioneer Corp with my Dad during the 2nd WW & they were based at Donnington in Shropshire.
I just can't quite remember when he died,but it was roughly abt 15yrs ago.

Any info appreciated
