Photographer - A J Mitchell
« on: Sunday 14 August 11 05:36 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know whether the photographic collection of this person is archived somewhere (in Auckland)?

They submitted some photographs to what was the Auckland Weekly News, a former Wilson and Horton publication.

Contact with NZ Herald advises that they have no original photographs and that they were owned/retained by the photographer themselves.

I would really like to get a print or good copy of one of their works.  [I do have a photograph of the image from the newspaper, for which I am very grateful, but it grainy and I would like to at least try to get a better print.]

Thanks

Thanks for the tip-off Janette.  An advanced search of their catalogue, just now, hasn't turned anything up, but I will still drop them a line.

Hello...

"Heritage Images" has lots of photos from the Auckland Weekly News.

Don't know if they're indexed.

EDIT:
15,645 images added but only from the supplements of the Auckland Weekly News from 1935 to 1944. apparently.

Regards
Beg
