Paisley Weaving Family - Howie

My Great Great Grandfather was David Howie (1835-1905).   He was a weaver from Paisley.    A Scottish relative said there was an article from 1904 that identified him as the last of the hand weavers.     I'm just looking for more information about the Howies and about the weavers in Paisley.

jcb, Google "Howie of Lochgoin", this is a very old farming family south of Paisley.      Skoosh.
