Paton marriage Abbey 1859

Is there anyone who can check the marriage of Thomas Paton 30th Dec 1859 at Abbey to Marian Ross please? Thomas was born 1840 and in 1851 Census they have a six month old daughter.

I am hoping his father is James Paton. He should be deceased, but I am particularly interested in his occupation (James'). He died sometime between 1839 and 1841, but there are about 10 James Paton's dying within that time frame on SP. So another clue to his occupation might help. He is one of my very, very old brick walls!

There is another marriage of a Thomas Paton to a Mary White on 2nd Jan 1860 at Abbey which may be worth checking if the first one should prove fruitless, but I don't know the age of this Thomas.
