Looking for Albert Ernest Lowick Russell
« on: Wednesday 17 August 11 10:23 BST (UK) »
Any help or advice would be very welcome, I have posted this request before, but I have found further information on Albert. I have contacted the family in Chile, but they have no information on him returning to Chile.

I have found information on his history up to his leaving the Navy in 1918, but what happened to him after this?

The following is a brief history of him –

Albert Ernest Lowick Russell was born on the 21st August 1876, Chile.
His Father was Henry Lowick Russell, his Mother was Sellna Charrington.

Albert`s first recorded entry in England was in the 1901 Census, his address was 68 New Road, Chatham, he was working in the Chatham Dock Yard.

He returned to Chile for a period after this, he returned to Liverpool on the 1st Feb 1915. He went on to serve in the First World War on H M S Diligence, after he left the Navy in 1818, then he disappears?

Albert had relatives living in London, his uncle was Henry Lowick Russell living at 30 First Avenue, Queens Park, Middlesex. I found both Probate records and Albert in not mentioned in them.

I have used the site Ancestry, for my research.

So any help on to where to go from now, would be very welcome.

Stan.

Many Navy personnel went on to work in civilian shipping after the war & I would suspect he might have ended up in Canada or somewhere over that way, one of my grandfathers was sent there while in the RN to recover from a serious illness & the letters sent home show he was very impressed with Canada & considered migrating there after military service, just a passing thought
