Hi Mcstrings
The Donald Fraser Hospital near Vhufuli, near Sibasa, South Africa in what used to be known as the far Northern Transvaal used to be staffed almost soley by doctors and nurses from Scotland.
Most of the surgeons were of course Edinburgh trained.
Perhaps records at the hospital today might reflect your Surgeon G Grandfather Frank Ross' service there?
Cheers
