I know this is long outdated for the OP's request, however I can confirm there is a plan which you can obtain information about at Newhaven Town Council's office for anyone else searching this topic.  Alternatively you could email the office at  admin AT newhaventowncouncil.gov.uk for this and other information.   Hope this helps.  :)

I have found the staff at Newhaven very helpful and the information they provide is free (some councils take note!)

Thank you for your comments, as this is a long outstanding piece of research on this man it's not outdated, all little snippets add to my collection, but in this case the grave appears to be a general one and unmarked.  It's this man's life that interests me now, if I ever find any clues to it.
