Seeking details of Philip McGAHAN possibly born in the Errigal area about 1848. He was living in Manchester, Lancashire, England in 1871 having married Mary DAWSON (also Irish-born) in 1868 in Manchester but no mention of him in the UK 1861 census.
Philip and his son William returned to Ireland and they shown in the 1901 census as resident at House 14 Drumrooghill Cootehill. Philip's first wife died in Manchester however on his return to Ireland it is believed he married another Mary Ann with the surname of Smith. William married a Margaret Reilly .
