Hi Merry,

Do you have the marriage certificate which will list fathers names?

West Briton Advertiser provides the date but no fathers details

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wbritonad/cornwall/1842/marriages/mar.html

Both of Redruth at time of marriage

You mention having Elizabeth's family, just wondering how you have established this? What have you established? Do the Australian death records list parents - (noting that information provided at death is only as good as the informant.) Given the information you have provided here I have not been able to establish the parents of either. I am only seeing 1 baptism in the Redruth district and its not him. I think the marriage cert is needed for fathers names to allow you to progress.

I haven't had any joy with immigration to date either  :'(

Cheers Kris  :)

:)chris  hi and thank you for your response. I have the death cert of both james kendall and elizabth teague. his doesn`t say who his parents were but hers does. it also state they were married in redruth on both of the death certs.  since I posted,I have been able to find immigration under the name of KENDLE as was suggested by another kind answer. I have now sent for the immigration records as they could tell me more also I  will send for the marriage cert from the marriage qtr march in redruth under the name kendle and elizabeth teague. the immigration records exactly match those of the marriage index so hopefully that will help..I thank you all so very much and all suggestions have helped a lot    cheers  merry

Hi Merry,

Yes I found the immigration also - immigrated straight after marriage aged 21 and 22 aboard the ORLEANA 3 Jul 1842.

I couldn't find a James in Redruth in 1841. I wondered if Elizabeth's parents were Robert and Elizabeth.

Cheers Kris  :)

I had found the immigration and had been working on the assumption that Elizabeth was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth from Redruth. (You may have  this)

Marriage is normally in the Brides parish so James may have been from anywhere. Unfortunately the marriage Cert wont tell us where he was from (only where he was living at the time of marriage, which according to the newspaper announcement was Redruth) Hopefully the fathers name will help.

Elizabeth TEAGUE baptised 5 Jan 1819 Redruth - St Uny parents Robert and Elizabeth

Robert TEAGUE was buried 1 Feb 1837 Redruth St Uny aged 62 (of town)

Robert TEAGUE = Elizabeth WILLIAMS 1 Apr 1799 Redruth St Uny

Looks like Elizabeth was the last child

Cheers Kris  :)
