There is a family tree that has Alexander Edwin Stewart born on February 20th 1843 at Letterkenny, Co Donegal, Ireland and Helen Kennedy on 39th July 1847 at  New Cumnock Ayeshire Scotland.  There were 9 children.

I know I am probably confusing you. I went onto the QLD BMD to see if they did Transcripts, but as I have discovered, QLD do not do Transcripts, which is a pity. They are cheaper than certs and, give all the relevent information

I am just trying to find out where Alexander was born.

However, I do have their marriage details:

If the birth info is correct there are 2 census entries showing a Helen Kennedy born at New Cumnock.

There is an 1851 Scotland Census record that might be Helen's family.

William Kennedy 41, farmer, 107 acres.
Margaret Kennedy 40.
John Kennedy 17.
Mary Kennedy 15.
Alexander Kennedy 10.
Helen Kennedy 6, born New Cumnock abt 1845.
Margaret Kennedy 4.
Ebeneza Kennedy 11 Mo.
Address, House of Water, New Cumnock, Ayrshire.

There is an 1861 Scotland Census record that might be Helen's family.

William Kennedy 51, farmer.
Margaret Kennedy 50.
Mary Kennedy 23.
Helen Kennady 17, born New Cumnock abt 1844.
