Royal Navy Surgeons Records

I am seeking sources for records of Royal Navy surgeons from 1875 till 1937.
I have a reference from the cemetery record to Awdry Peck born 1847 died 1937 'Royal Navy Surgeon Retired' I am particulalry anxious to find a record of his birth details.

According to the 1851 census his parents are Jasper (bn Rushall, Wilts) and Eliza C Peck (Eliza bn Felstead, Essex

Jasper and Eliza do not appear to register the births of their children, as he was a clergyman perhaps the christening records will give dates of birth.  The 1851 gives this information of his occupation A M Trinity College Oxford Priest Of Catholic & Apostolic Church

If you search on Google books, there are mentions of Awdry Peck, his father Jasper Peck and his elder brother Jasper Kenrick Peck (unfortunately, many are "snippet views") but it appears from one of these that Awdry was fifth surviving son of the Rev. Jasper Peck, MA Born at Bath, 5 August, 1847. His elder brother, Jasper Kenrick Peck, was born 24 March, 1832 and called to the Bar, 1 May, 1854.

There is also a reference in The British critic and quarterly theological review from 1831 of the marriage of:

Peck, Jasper, son of Rev. R Peck, Notton Lodge, Wilts, to Eliza Coppendale, fourth daughter of the Rev. Jeremiah Awdry, Vicar of Felstead, Essex.

I am rather hoping to find an "official" document which gives the date and place of birth and had hoped HM RN would provide such but I am unsure where I can find this online. Any help on this welcome.

Have you considered seeing what the Royal College of Surgeons have on him?
What evidence do you have that he was in the Royal Navy?

Ty for this idea Rosie.

Unfortunately LRCP etc only keep records of Fellows not Licentiate (?) members -  they only provide exm rersults and no more.

Wadham College archivist said the records they have do not record his birth nor did St Pauls School tho' they had a pencilled entry in the register which gave his date of birth.

Being a stubborn purist I rally want an official record of birth.
