presumably, your parents were divorced?  If so, your dad may well have remarried, what was his name and surname and when approx did he leave your home, that would give us a point of reference to work from?
Thanks,
Sue

Buddysmum have you tried http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/ to see if he remarried.

Although if we are talking recent times then it may not show.

If they didn't divorce then they perhaps just lived together as a couple, and you would need to look under her name for a child and his(they may have registered it under both,or either)

That is providing you know what her maiden surname was?

PM me all the facts if you think there is any chance that any of these people may still be alive.

Carol

Although the adults mentioned are all deceased the child mentioned could still be alive (and possibly not know any of the details mentioned here) so please be careful about posting any details such a names.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Have you looked for any newspaper obituaries for either of them?
Might there have been an inquest reported in the local newspaper for the suicide?
Would your dad or the other person have been in a position to leave a will?
Any gravestone(s) that may hold further information?

Was the surname of the lady you mentioned her actual maiden name?
