McNeil of Luss Dumbartonshire

Hello there, i am looking for information on my ancestors who started their journey through life in Luss.   Alexander McNeil, who married Charlotte Reid is my gggg grandfather.  I would love to clarify the names of his brothers and sisters.

thank you for your replies.  i am sorry to be vague, i am new at this.  it's funny how you think that there would be only one person with a particular name.  i am learning fast.

Alexander and Charlotte married on 16 October.  I see that ties in with the marriage at Eaglesham.

both alexander and charlotte appear to have died before october 1856
freeCEN have this family in 1841(as mcniel) but there is no sign of alexander
(in drymen(or dryman ?) stirlingshire)

in 1851 2 of the children appear to be living with reid relatives(john and alexander mcneil) ayrshire

Father:  ALEXANDER MCNEILL    Mother:  CHARLOTTE REID 

The 1841 has a 13yr old Donald McNeil living in Lochwinnoch Renfrew with an Angus & Mary Taylor but no way of knowing if it's the same one

Just a little point, relating to what has already been found. The marriage dates that Carole has posted I would think are likely to be for the same couple. The earlier date possibly the banns entry and then you have the confirmed marriage date in October.
