Eliza Wilson b1822-COMPLETED

Not sure if I have the right county...  In Aug 1844, Eliza Wilson married Cornelius Lazenby (a blacksmith form Lancashire) at St. Mary, Stockport, Cheshire.  The parish register says her father's name was David.  Cornelius and Eliza emigrated to the US and are in Pennsylvania in 1850 and then in Camden NJ in 1860.  Eliza died in 1879 and her death certificate says that her parents were David and Ellen (or it looks like Ellen).

Please post the 1841 census for Eliza and her parents David and Ellen.

www.cheshirebmd.org.uk definitely has it at St Marys Stockport for 1841 .- not 1844 -...do you have the marriage cert....?...cos if it was 1841 she may not be with her mum and dad ....anyone know what month 1841 census was ?....

Thanks Allan, my mistake, should be 1841.  I found the 1841 marriage also on Familysearch and wondered when the census was taken as well.  I am hoping it was earlier to find Eliza with her parents.

Also, some one else just responded to another post with the Lancashire county website, thanks.

1841 census gave ages within 5 years ...so we know Cornelius would have been 19 , as he was born nov 1821...I would be intrigued to know Elizas age though ...can`t seem to find her anywhere ....supposedly b Stockport , but I can`t find her at all

On lan-opc there is an ellen Wilson born 1828 to a David and Ellen Wilson which could be a sister?

Nearest I can get is Henry Street, Salford Manchester Lancashire.
David Wilson aged 45 Stocking maker. wife Eleanor aged 50. Son David aged 30, Stocking Maker.
daughter Elizabeth aged 20. Son Alexander aged 12. Daughter Eleanor aged 10, (All born Ireland).  Son Samuel aged 1 year. born of parish.
Salford isn't that far from Stockport.
My ancesters used to go to Manchester to marry as it was cheaper to my out of parish. Maybe this is what Cornelius & Eliza did?
