sub-postmaster
« on: Saturday 10 September 11 22:45 BST (UK) »
hi there,

i am looking for info on my uncle matthew reilly who i was led to believe was a sub-postmaster in kells in the 1950's.

he married sometime in the late 50's early 60's and apart from this info i know nothing else about him.

my dad was born in dublin and i think my grandparents patrick reilly and margaret carroll married in cavan so i'm not sure if matt was born in cavan or dublin.

any pointers would be appreciated.

The online civil registration index goes up to 1958 for the Republic of Ireland (1921 for N.I. counties) and the last available census is 1911.

Have a look at Introduction to Irish Records.
