Hi folks, I've been running the Scottish GENES blog at www.scottishancestry.blogspot.com for almost four years now, but today sees the birth of its new sibling - British GENES!

British GENES (GEnealogy News and EventS) is available at www.britishgenes.blogspot.com , with as much free to access news and events from across the British Isles as I can lay my hands on!

Hope it helps with your research, and always happy to hear of news in your area, or an event to promote. It's not quite Reuters, and I don't wear a cowboy hat, but hoping to make it a useful resource for as many as possible!

NB: Scottish GENES will not be discontinued - so two news blogs now coming from Largs!
