India Lost in the Assam
« on: Tuesday 13 September 11 19:52 BST (UK) »
Dear Friends,

I am seeking the record and place of birth/baptism for Robert Arthur Francis NICHOLL born 23.07.1899 in the Assam son of Bernard and Winifred NICHOLL.

The Brit. Library baptism register has no entry.

He was a Roman Catholic.

His father was a District Commissioner. Any suggestions where a record might be hidden in the Brit Lib archives or anywhere else most welcome.

TY

Many thanks Jacky for your kind help on this.
I found a newspaper entry which said he was born july 1899 so your year out would make sense.

Very best wishes,
Peter
