please,please,please can a very clever person piece together the puzzle of my welsh roots!?

mygrandad was born in merthyr tydfil,1918 and named william james maurice morgan
all i know is that his mums maiden name was morris.

i cantfind the marriage record of his mum and dad in that area or any morris living there :(

his mum remarried when he was little to kennedyand relocated to hendon/london then to bournemouth where they both died during ww2. grandad had by that time taken on the kennedy name and ad his family,we are all still in bournemouth and kennedys now although we should carry the morgan surname. he died in 1986 quite young.
i anyone is really good at this please pint me n the right direction :)
