Mary Kennedy of Middlebie Birth & Marriage details missing

hopefully some one can help me with the following brickwall

I am looking for the birth record of Mary Kennedy and her marriage record to Isaac Pattinson

I know the following from the 1855 birth record of her son Isaac Pattinson

Isaac her son was born on 8th March 1855 in Canonbie his father was Isaac Pattinson aged 40 born Ambleside Westmorland, His mother was Mary Pattinson maiden surname Kennedy aged 41 born Middlebie

Isaac was Marys 4th child and she and Isaac were married in 1846 in Middlebie

on the 1851, 61 and 71 census she always says she was born in Middlebie in 1812 or 1813 after 1871 they have moved to england and the birthplace is simply listed as Scotland but the year stays the same.

The problem though is that I cannot find her birth on either Scotlands people or IGI, nor can I find any record of her marriage to Isaac Pattinson in 1846 at Middlebie, are there big gaps in the Middlebie records ?

they had the following other children

Agnes Pattinson born Canonbie 24/03/1850
Mary Jane Pattinson born Canonbie 17/08/1852
Isaac Pattinson born Canonbie 08/03/1855 as detailed above
Margaret Ann Pattinson born Kirkpatrick Fleming 1859

Marys husband Isaac was a blacksmith

My grandmother who would be Mary Kennedys granddaughter had a bowl with the following inscription "George and Jenny Kennedy Yetts 1810"

Yetts can be seen on the OS Six inch first edition maps of 1843-82 in the top left hand corner of Dumfriesshire sheet LVIII it is a couple of miles due south of Middlebie and about the same due east of Ecclefechan.

The presumption is that George and Jenny were the parents of Mary and that the bowl may be a wedding present, although no-one in the family can confirm this

If anyone can help locate her birth record or her marriage record I'd be very grateful

Any info on the George and Jenny Kennedy would be most helpful as well

I found this on the Dumfries 1851 census.  Just confirms their address in 1851.

If you go to the website of the National Archives of Scotland (or National Records of Scotland as their new name is - though the old name appears on everything yet), you can search their catalogue. If you enter the parish name in the search box, you will see all the records they have, including the church records. There may be a gap in the surviving records. If so you'll see it there. It is also always worth entering a person's name in case there is a record for them too.
