Records for 8th Battalion east Yorkshire regiment

Hi,

I wanted to find records for my relative who was in the army in the 8th Battalion East Yorkshire regiment. Richard Sewell (Labourer born 1875 cottingham, Hull) was killed in action in Somme France 14th July 1916 (his parents where Richard Sewell and Hannah Little of cottingham, hull). Does anyone know if there is any where I can view his records online please? or can message me a copy please? .

you can see his medal card here for £2,,,it wont tell you much other than,,name,rank and number,,,,but it will tell you his medal entitlement

Time to take out the 14 day free membership I think. You have to register a debit/credit card and remember to cancel before the trial is up. If you cannot trust yourself to cancel you should wait until November the 11th as they usually provide free access to military records for Armistice Day and a few days either side.
