Ivor J COX, electrocuted Salisbury 1947?

My second cousin, a stage manager, is said to have died tragically by electrocution, involving stage lights and possibly floods in a theatre around the time of World War2. It was said to have been the Oxford Playhouse, but a GRO reference for his possible death gives Salisbury March quarter 1947. Can anyone shed light on this death for me?

I wonder whether it would be worth your contacting the archivists of the Salisbury Playhouse?  The brief history linked to their website shows that in 1947 it would have been the Salisbury Arts Theatre: see link on right hand side of webpage here: http://www.salisburyplayhouse.com/page/about-us.
