Bill, Where's the Blyth connection then ?
In that era Blyth bmds would have been registered with Tynemouth Registration District. The River Blyth was the dividing line betwenn Morpeth and Tynemouth Reg Districts.

Sorry Michael I should have said. If I'm on the right track, Alice would be living at Hirst when she was born. ( Richardson Street ). I may have to send for her birth certificate to confirm it.
But I know some Rileys moved to Blyth. I'm not sure which year. They lived at Smiths Buildings for a while. (about the 1930's).
I'm hoping Mary was the daughter of this section of the Riley family. And, Alice may be Auntie to Mary.
Fingers crossed someone may save me some money.
