Bertie R Gage
« on: Tuesday 27 September 11 09:02 BST (UK) »
Hi

Bertie R Gage (poss 1884-1955) married Honor Long (b1904 Thorrington) Tendring, Essex 1933. I am trying to find any details of Bertie, ie date and place of birth, parents and place of marriage. I don't really want to purchase a certificate on this one as i am not totally convinced that they are related to me and the names associated to them that i found in a will could just be family friends. I know that Honor died in 1982 and realistically i would say that Bertie is dead by now.

Hi N J

Thanks for that, still a bit confused. My gt grandfathers uncle who was a bootmaker married a Gage from Coggeshall, maybe there could be some sort of connection.

Hi Kevin,

Several instances in my lot of two people from one family marrying into the same family, quite a good way to meet a prospective spouse.

Regards.

Hi,

Fairly recently I was searching the Coggeshall PRs and noticed that in the marriage registers there were quite a number of occurrences where people from other parishes married in Coggeshall, so you might get lucky there.

Regards.
