When, Durham County or Durham Diocese ? Many new parishes were created in the nineteenth century, and many were combined in the second half of the twentieth century.

Oh, except I am really after the number in the county of Durham, rather than the diocese. If you happen to know that would be great, but if not don't worry I'll count them up. I am just doing a massive statistical analysis of all parish transcriptions available online right across the UK, so have an incredible amount of counting to do as it is. I just thought that as I happen to know how many parishes there are in my county that there might be other helpful souls out there who know theirs and it might save me a fraction of my task!
