I would appreciate a look up in Kirkby Malzeard for a THOMAS HEWITSON born abt 1832. I believe his father was John Hewitson

I know his wife was Jane Short and they were married in 1854 in Hartlepool, Durham

The 1881 census has him in Stranton aged 49 and an engine driver (sea) (steam engine). Wife Jane and 6 children.

Looked at the baptisms for Kirkby Malzeard for you at North Yorks Records Office. 

Thomas was baptised on 22 May 1831, parents given as John & Ann Hewison of Kirkby Malzeard, cordwainer.

Looked either side of this date and there was a baptism on 23 June 1829 for Mary Ann, daughter of John & Ann Hewison of Kirkby Malzeard, cordwinder.  On 26 May 1833 baptism for Elizabeth Betsey, daughter of John & Ann Hewison of Kirkby Malzeard, shoe-maker.
