Could SKS please take a look at the probate calendar and see if there is an entry for Frederick Newbutt, died 1907, Nottingham.

yes there is an entry 92 Coventry Rd Bullwell, a grocer died 28 Nov 1907.
Probate is in Nottingham  30th Dec. to Thomas Shore club manager and Herbert Simpson licensed  victualler  amount 562. 9s.5d

Its James Arthur Newbutt, 1929, Middlesex (possibly Hendon area), he was a Postman.

Dont know if this is him, he left a lot of money for a postman

The Ferns, Beaumont Avenue, Sudbury Middlesex, died 5/11/1929 at Wembley Hospital
Administration with will London 20 Dec to Ann Maria Newbutt  pounds 1795 !!

I think it has to be the right man, he married Annie Maria Dixon. I'm still researching him but I think he was a Head Postman at one stage and possibly ended up even more senior than that.

Thanks so so much for looking it up for me, its useful to know that he was survived by his wife.
