James Liptrot was the parish clerk at St. Peter's in Bolton.

Beautiful handwriting. If he wrote it, it's likely to have been transcribed pretty accurately. I wish all register entries were as clear as his!
Looking at ALSTON in south Ribble area, ALSTEAD and DONBAVAND/DUNBABIN etc. everywhere, HOWCROFT and MARSH in Bolton and Westhoughton, PICKERING in the Whitehaven area.

Census information is Crown Copyright. See www.nationalarchives.gov.uk for details.

Attention - chezza60 and anyone else related. I've just found chessa60 posts from October 2011 re. Alice Booth & Thomas Rostron, also Phoebe Constance Bevan.   Please contact me about our mutual family members.  Looks like we have family information and records to exchange.  Maybe I've finally found someone who can fill me in on family members in New Zealand.  My mother has always talked about an Aunty Rose in New Zealand.

Regards Chris (cprmcr)
