I am trying to trace the Moseley family in Cheshire.
Thanks to Rootschatters, I have got some more information, but am trying to tie up some interesting holes.
I start with Samuel Moseley bn 1810 at Church Minshull, with parents William and Elizabeth, as per the Bishops Transcripts
I have 1851 census for William, aged 44 in Chester, as a miller. This makes his birth as 1809, so not likely to be the father

I have 1841 census for William aged 70, in Haslington, also as a miller. This makes his birth about 1771, about 40 when Samuel is born. HO107/116/29/8/11
This has William, Elizabeth, Edward, 20 son, Elizabeth, 20 dau, Robert, 8 son?
I have William marrying Elizabeth Hassell in 1800 at Warmington.
I have a couple of transcripts for William being christened at Poynton 12 Dec 1779 to Thomas & Betty, AND at Acton 8 April 1770 to Robert and Ann. Umm
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find out which is the correct information to follow the Moseley family further back.
