Peters Wake???

Hi does anyone know of a place called Peters Wake in Ireland.A lady sent me census details for an ancestor and said he came from Peters Wake,could this be Peters Lake perhaps? His name was James Gagan/Gargan

Hi,
    The townland search site http://www.thecore.com/seanruad gives only two places like that.
Petersburg in the Oughterard area and Peterstown in the Trim area.

What are the census details that you were given? perhaps if we had more information we might be able to figure out where this is supposed to be in Ireland.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I have had a look at the original could it be Peter's well?
There is a Peterswell in Co. Galway east of Gort, just south of Kilchreest
Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
