William Petrie

Hi everyone

I am trying to find William Petrie and its impossible. He had a son Named Henry Petrie b. 1794 and he married Catherine Bingley b. 1792. I am also trying to find Henry's mother but dont know her name or any details. I think williams parish was Misterton, Nottinghamshire during his life. Not sure where I found that now

Can anyone help me find any details on him please or tell me any tips on how to find him?

Where was Henry born/ baptised?  Have you checked the original marriage entry for Henry for any clues, witnesses etc.

I found a couple of burials at Misterton that you may not have

William buried  5.1. 1834 son of Henry & Catherine, abode Stockwith aged 11.

Jane buried 22.6. 1832 da of Henry & Catherine aged 7

There is a note next to the entry for William that says - Buried in Baptist burying ground.

So maybe they were non conformists.

There are some pieces of information I had found but cant find them anymore. I can tell you that henry petrie b.1794, died in 1879 in gainsborough. His children that I knew of were Susannah (who had henry b. 1846) who married James Vickers after she had henry.
Henry (b.1794) also had a child named elizabeth (married john tate) 1831 - 1905, catherine b.1833, sarah (married thomas cook) b. 1836 and Mary b.1821 who married matthew moody.

Im not sure where henry was baptised im afraid, that information has escaped me
Thank you loads though for helping me find the other children he had
Once his parents have been found and once I know what Im doing better, I will be able to find even further back

BTW, some of the family is known to come from Kingston Upon Hull / Sculcoates

6.2. 1831 Elizabeth
6.11. 1836 Sarah

All baptised to Henry & Catharine Petrie, abode Stockwith and he was a Blockmaker.
