Willow Grove Cemetery Reddish
« on: Thursday 20 October 11 12:30 BST (UK) »
Hi
If anyone is visiting the above cemetery I wonder if it would be possible to have a grave photo for
Rev Richard J Benney dod 2 Nov 1918.

Many Thanks
R

You need to provide "section and plot no".
Stockport Heritage Library should be able to confirm
burial details etc (...there may be a charge for this service).

More info can be found on:-

Stockport Heritage Library:-
Stockport Local Heritage Library
Wellington Road South, Stockport. SK1 3RS

Thanks for the advice I should have thought about the plot number.

If you're visiting Stockport Heritage Library you need either Volumes 3 & 4 (1900-1918) on Microfilm 2480 or Volumes 5 & 6 (1918-1842) on Microfilm 2481.

Willow Grove is somewhere I've been meaning to visit for some time but, fortunately, I have a grave certificate. Although vastly improved by volunteers, until recently, the cemetery was in a bit of a state (my uncle used to live in the lodge back in the 1950s) Some of the graves at the rear collapsed into the adjoining valley back in the 1970s!

If you find out where the grave is, let me know and I'll look out for it when I eventually get round to visiting. Can't promise it'll be 2011 though!
