Hi,

At their Banns, Robert gave his name as DADSELL and Mary's as AYNSCOMBE.

Mary was baptised at Rotherfield, St Denys 18 Aug 1633.  Her father's name is given as Robert AYNSCOMBE, mother just as AYNSCOMBE.  There is no marriage on the SMI for a Robert - but perhaps they had come across the border from Kent?

Liz

Yes Liz, and there is a variety of spellings for the Doudeswell surname through the generations...ending with Dadswell, then Dodswell, as well as that Dadsell that you have come across.  Likewise for the Aynescombe name.  As for Robert possibly having come from Kent, then I will have to consider that...................Clive.
