Harold Townend WW1
« on: Sunday 30 October 11 10:45 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help me find some records for Harold Townend b. 1886 Halifax? I know he was in the war (WW1) and sustained an injury which left him blind in his left eye.

He married Laura Jackson in 1912 in Oldham and at some time between then and 1927 move to the Ormskirk area.

His mother was Ada Fetwell Townend b. 1866 Doncaster (no father)

He also went, for a time, by the name of Harold Kitson as his mother married George Kitson in 1871 and he was down as Harold Kitson on the 1891 census. (They were living in Oldham by this time)

Any help would be great as I dont have access to these records! :(
