1525 birth in France - where do I look?
« on: Sunday 30 October 11 12:23 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

I'm trying to find more detail for a birth listed in 1525 in the IGI only as 'France'.  It's for a chap called 'Guilbert Philippo' who married around 1549 and had a son Pierre in 1550 (also as per the IGI).

They may or may not be related to an 'Ernault Philippo' who was listed as being born around 1540 (possibly later though) who came to England (Norfolk) in the 1560/70s, but they're the earliest Philippos I can find!

Obviously any earlier ones (from anywhere in continental Europe!) would be much appreciated too!!   :)

Many thanks...Helen
