Gowlett's of Radwinter

Hi,
I am currently researching the Gowlett's of Radwinter, Essex and whilst I have managed to get alot of information from the Radwinter website I am struggling with my gt gt grandfather Alfred Gowlett. His baptism is 26 May 1950 in Radwinter church. He marries in Radwinter to Mary Ann Ellen Moss on 25 December 1869 and they have ten children in total. BUT - The the only death record I can find is 1946 in Saffron Walden. I have traced him through the census and he moves from Radwinter up to Kings Lyn and then back to Saffron Walden - although he is not on the 1891 census there, the rest of his family are in East Street - I have been unable to find him on any census at all for this year so I think it might be a transcript error by the enumerator at the time.
However his death date also bothers me, 96 is a very good age for a farm labourer of that time and although not impossible I am not convinced! He moved from Saffron Walden to Harrow and I have found him on the 1901 and 11 census and his family that moved with him have remained in and around that area ever since - including my generation.  If anyone can shed any light at all on his death date I would be really grateful. I have also searched burial records for SW and he is not listed on there - perhaps he was cremated? But I dont think you can access cremation records?

Thank you for looking. I dont think itd the one in Finchingfield as the rest of his family - Mary Ellen etc are in Saffron Walden at this point.
The death in 1932 is the only other one I can find, but Wandsworth makes no sense as we have no connections at all with Wandsworth so it would be wierd that he would die there!

I guess your best bet is to get the death certificate for the 94 year old, and see if one of his children was present at his death.
