It says this :-

William Edwad Myles Garner was born in Whitechapel in 1849 and had a studio at 40 London Road, Southwark from 1884 - 1907

In 1891 and 1901 this is his address 

In 1883/4 he was at no 41

So the date is after 1887 (see top of pic) and before 1907 ~ can't narrow it down further

Thank you.  Received the photo from a second cousin in Mississippi which she had taken from her mother's home in Aberdeen, Scotland, many years ago, but of course no name on the back.  It is one olf three brothers but not sure which one  as yet

Trying to date this family photo? Taken by London photographer.

I am trying to establish roughly which year this photograph was taken.  I received this from a second cousin who lives in Mississippi and she had taken lots of family photographs from her mother's home in Aberdeen, but unfortunately no names on them.  It is one of three brothers, but dating the photo might help.Also attach back of photo.

I would say early 1890s at a guess....but Jim or China could give you a more accurate date maybe.
