The Forrest Brothers Edinburgh to America ?
« on: Wednesday 09 November 11 20:04 GMT (UK) »

I am trying to find more information on James Forrest b c 1898 and his brother William b c 1900 in Edinburgh Scotland.

They were the sons of John Forrest and Elizabeth Valentine.

Information I have is  that William an engineer went to Canada then over the border in to America around 1924  and  James

followed not long afterwards.

Looking for more information on the brothers.

Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for this information I have had a look on S.P. and unfortunately William Forrest who was married to Mary O'Malley

is not the William I am trying to find. They married in Lanarkshire and he was the son of John Forrest and Susan Chalmers.

Thanks again for your input.

Regards,

I have discovered that William was in Detroit in 1939 as his mother Elizabeth and his sister visited him in 1939

his address then was 119955 Woodingham Drive Detroit Michigan.

William Valentine Forrest date of birth was 16 July 1899 I have found a death on SSDI for a William Forrest born same date
dying in Zephyrhill Pasco Florida on 14 July 1974  how can I prove this is him.

Suzilad

Hello Suzilad,

Pasco County library have a "Ask the librarian" link would this be worth a shot  ???

http://pascolibraries.org/

Where it says "research links" (at the bottom of the page) go to more and use the ask a librarian link from there - chat or e-mail.

Or would it be worth posting on Pasco County. Florida Genealogy Forum to see if someone could look up an obitury for William. ?

No RAOGK at the moment but reply 8 on the link below tells what is happening on facebook - perhaps this is worth a read.

Deepest condolences to the family of Bridget Schneider who passed away recently.
