Hi folks,

does anyone have any information relating to the Bishenden's that lived in this area, i am aware of the family graves in the church, but would love some more indepth family information, also searching for family of Harry Botten of this area who married my aunt Maude.

Could you tell us when Harry and Maude lived?

Have you seen the book "Upon Quarry Hills" A History of Boughton Monchelsea by Paul Hastings.  It mentions many local people.

thanks have not seen or hear of that book will try it,

Harry and Maude lived in 2 Hubbards ln, Boughton monchelsea.  they lived there with Maude mum and dad James and elizabeth until they died and continued to livce there with my uncle Nelson Bishenden, he died 1974, maude died 1980,s the haryy, not sure what date as when maude died he moved to a care home.


most of the bishenden's lived on boughton green, church st, hubbards rd or the green.
samual married mary ann
william married maria
charles married sophia
isaac married ann kezia

all in 1800's

This is Maud's death reg

Maud Botten aged 65 born 6 Mar 1917 March qtr 1982  Maidstone 16 1537

And a possible for Harry

Harry William Botten aged 79 born 13 Oct 1907
Date of Registration March 1987    Maidstone  16 1551

Maud's birth reg giving her mothers maiden name

Maud Bishenden mother's maiden name Farrant - June qtr 1917  Maidstone

You will need to buy credits and look for Harry on the 1911 census as it is strictly pay per view

It will give you his parents names and you can then check freebmd for a marriage for them

You can also check freebmd for a Bishenden/Farrant marriage
