Henry Goldsmith {Provost Sergeant 3 Grenadier Guards }

 Hi Im trying to find details about a Henry Goldsmith. I have his birth as c 1844 in Hailsham Sussex, his parents were a Thomas Goldsmith,and Mary Elphick.
 In the 1851 census he is aged 7 living in Hailsham Sussex, in the 1881 census he is SNCO { Provost Sergeant } in the 3rd Batt Grenadier Guards,stationed at Wellington Barracks.I cannot find him on the 1861 census at all.
 I was wondering if anyone on Rootchat could help.

                     Thank you for the information it was a great help.Henry Goldsmith's Father Thomas Goldsmith was the brother of my Grt Grt Grandmother Ann Goldsmith.I was given some old documents about him,and noticed he served in the Grenadier Guards, as I serve in the Scots Guards I thought I would try and find about him,all I had to go on was his date of birth, and where he was born.I found him in the 1851 census, also in the 1881 census but could not find him in the 1861.
                     The information you have given has been a great help, I shall get in touch with RHQ Grenadier Guards in Bridcage Walk, to see if I can get a copy of his service record. I had no information  about his next of kin, thank you for that.

Trade Twine Spinner. Completed his service and discharged to pension 9 May 1882. He did not serve abroad during his service, in which he reached the rank of Sergeant. His next of kin is listed as his wife Mary Ann Goldsmith,

They had 7 children I am desended from Robert Henry Goldsmith
I will post papers if you need them and the certificates too
What I need to know is how many children did Henry Charles Goldsmith and Mary Ann Friars have I believe that one of the family also came out to NSW as there is William Goldsmith that filled in Albert James Goldsmith Death Cert and he is not in our family here.
