 I am trying to trace my grandmothers family, my grandma was born in Dalton and then moved over to the Preston Blackburn area, I know one of the posts have been trying to trace this side of the family but with being new to this site I dont know had to contact the person help!

There are quite a few Jones families in Dalton,and my husbands great grandparents were Jones but from Askam,
I can ask around,it would have helped if you had posted her married  name and date of birth,

Thank you for your Answer, My Grandmother family lived in Dalton around 1886 prior to that her mother Mary Agnes Jones(nee Page) came from Eardisley Herefordshire I wonder if there are any decedents still alive?

Have you got the birth certificate to check her parents,details out as it seems to me she could be the granddaughter of Mary Agness and the daughter of Myra Page,

the 1891 census places her as the only child of Mary A Jones ,widow
yet the neighbours are Mary Agness widow of John and mother to the children in the 1881 and 1891 census,
