Falshone/Falihone - in Down?
« on: Tuesday 22 November 11 04:35 GMT (UK) »
Hi all...

"Co Down, Falshone" (or possibly Falihone) was mentioned on an 1879 NZ birth certificate as the location for the 1876 marriage of the parents.

GoogleMaps can't find Falshone/Falihone. Does it ring a bell with anyone.

Thanks
Beg

Name doesn't appear to match any Parishes or townlands in the county:

Do you have the names of the parents for the birth, may make tracing the location easier

Hello Joe...

Thanks for replying.

If you read the third question in this post by me....

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,560757.msg4198336.html#msg4198336

...and the second answer in the following post you'll get names of parents and daughter plus a bit of context.

Whatever you do don't try wading through the whole thread. It'll do your head in :-)

All the best
Beg
