« on: Wednesday 30 November 11 16:19 GMT (UK) »
Hello, could some one please find the birth of Joseph Haines, 1883, Dunsden, Oxfordshire, parents Ambrose and Mary (Woods).  I can find him on the Census, Death, Marriage but no birth!

Many thanks in advance  :)

I wonder if you may do well to post your request on Berkshire as well. The Dunsden I know is so close to Reading and I got a feeling it was in Berkshire before the Local Governemnt Boudary review in 1974

Just an idea?

Hi

According to Genuki  http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/henley.html
Dunsden was in Henley registration district until 1974 which is when local government reorganisation took place.

If you intend ordering the certificate as you know the parents you can state them on the application.

Hi Nigel

I always google place name registration district which generally brings up the appropriate genuki page as I am often unsure as to what county places are in.  Local govt boundary changes just add to confusion.  ;D
