Fred Withers medal card
« on: Tuesday 06 December 11 19:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone I am hoping that someone can help.

I am looking for the medal card of Fred Withers who joined up in December 1915, possibly the Royal Engineers. The army number given seems to be 346796.

Many thanks in advance

Regards

Hi

Ancestry have these records of this man, is he yours? He was a GPO telegraph labourer and joined the Royal Engineers. It doesn't seem to contain his medal card though, but gives details about his family. If you dont have access to Ancestry most libraries have it.

Derek
He never served overseas hence no Medal Index Card.
On his records on ancestry if you go backwards instead of forward you will see his simmary of service.

He basically enlisted in the RE in Dec 1915 and then stayed in Army Reserve class W until demobbed in Dec 1918
