KELLY/TIVNAN or TIVNEN

Hi,
My great great great great grandmother Helen
Kelly (nee Tivnan or Tivnen) was married to James Kelly a farmer.  I believe they came from Donegal or at least their son John Kelly was born in Donegal. They may have also has another son Patrick, but not sure of this! I have John Kelly's death cert and can't be sure of Helen's maiden name spelling!
Any information on this family would be most appreciated..

John Kelly (son) died in 1902 in Scotland at age 59, I've found a Census that states he was born in Donegal...so around 1843!

Civil registration of births,deaths and Catholic marriages started in 1864 (non-Catholic marriages from 1845) so you'll need to search for other records to find information.

Keep in mind that Ellen was the more common form of the name Helen in Ireland.

Could be:  Tievan, Tivens, Taven, Tyan, Teevan
what year are you looking for?

Teevan live at East Port, Ballyshannon, County Donegal on the 1939/40 electrol list

lots of Kelly list on the census you might see a address you know
