In 1871 she is lodging in Clerkenwell along with Mary Thirwell who was a witness at her wedding.
In 1881 she is lodging in Bishops Stortford. She is listed as 75 by then so we must assume she never made the 1891 census.

Thank you Jennifer thats another piece of the puzzle which I knew nothing of. I now know her baptism, wedding & death but nothing inbetween. £187 in 1889 was a fair sum so once again I'm thing Charles must have had a thriving shoemakers. But where and why can't they be found ?

Will - under £300

Theodosia Green widow of 12a Myddleton Sq died 24/3/1862 left money to Joseph (son)

Looks like her husband could have been John Green.

Interestingly there is a Theodosia Allen age 65, married lodging in Finsbury.  She is listed as being born Cogshall, Essex but the next person comes from Sible Hedingham. RG10; Piece: 384; Folio: 23; Page: 39

This goes back a bit to old enquiry. I found some time ago that I have a WIlliam Knight apprenticed to John Simpson of Botchergate (Marchant) Carlisle in 1718. Any use? Also I cannot find your Knight references having trawled through masses of pages.
