Birth look up request - SMITH

I know this is a long shot, there seem to be so many Charles Smith born in Suffolk aroung the time of my ancestor, but here goes.

Charles Smith b.1840 (he is aged 1 on the 1841 census) in the civil parish of St Peter, hundred - Baberg, Sudbury, Suffolk.  Parents - Edward Smith b.1811 in Sudbury, wife Susan b.1808 in Sudbury.  Charles, brother George & his sister Susan were born in Sudbury, David & Alfred were born in Holsted, Essex.  I have all the census returns for Charles and three for Edward.

Any help  would be gratefully received as I have come to a brickwall on this one.
