Looking for information on Patrick Burns born about 1868 son of John Burns and Sarah Mcglinchy???
ON 1901 Census it says Patrick was born Port Glasgow. I can't seem to trace him before then or his parents??

Patrick was born 1858 in Port Glasgow
brother John born 1860 Port Glasgow
Parents
John Burns and Sarah McGlinchie (family search spelling)

Thanks very much for that noticed the differenc in the spelling of Mcglinchie maybe thats how I could'nt get them on Scotlands People

Hi Rosie
I haven't been able to find a marriage for John Burns and Sarah
but doing a general search on SP for Catholic Baptisms there is two results
for children baptised in St Johns church Port Glasgow for the couple
I used the following info
Name------------------Burns
forename-------------
Fathers name--------John
Mothers name-------Sarah McGlinchy
year-------------------1857-1862

doing the same search taken Sarah's surname away there are
4 results same dates
I tried using Patrick's name in the forename box but got no results

there are five Marriages for Patrick Burns in Port Glasgow between
1855 and 1920 but none of them married to a Sarah.
sorry that was supposed to be John
on Inverclyde itimations there is one death of a Sarah Burns but her maiden name is Small
