of the creditors of the above-named person has
been summoned to be held at the offices of Mr. C. J. Welch,
situate at No. 16, Caroline-street, Longton, in the county

o'clock in the forenoon precisely.—-Dated this 2nd day of
April, 1879.
CHAS. JNO. WELCH, 16. Caroline-street, Longton,
Staffordshire, Solicitor tor the said Debtor.

I know my family (Edward Leese, wife and children) resided at 94-96 High Street and owned a fish premises (Edward Titus Leese himself has bankruptcy listings in 1863 and 1879 at the address). I know from census returns that there was a son Stephen. Any thoughts on whether this is the son. And help for locating him after this date would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks in advance

It does look likely, doesn't it?

I found in a similar instance in OH's family tree yesterday where a son was declared bankrupt within a few years of his father's bankruptcy - seems some families just don't have any luck...

There is a couple of leese families in the high street .  There is a stephen with an edward leese at 96 high street but that edard is a bootmaker although there's some leese's who are grocers. That's from the 1871 census. Interesting!
