Berkshire marriage look up for William HIGGS

Would some kind person be willing to look for a marriage for William Higgs to Harriet (surname not known) around 1823/24 possibly in Buckland, Berkshire as that is where their 6 children were born between 1824 & 1833.  William was stated as a 'Gardener' on his sons and daughters marriage certificates!

The Berkshire marriage index has it as:
William HIGGS/Harriett RIDER 27 Feb 1819 Windsor, New - St John The Baptist.

Windsor is a long way from Buckland - and the Buckland area is not covered by the Berkshire Marriage Index.  It is worth trying Oxfordshire FHS to check their North Berkshire Marriage Index for a marriage closer to home.

Not that the Windsor marriage is definitely not your couple. I'd also check the 1841, 1851 censuses to see if there is a second couple with these names in or around Windsor.

Hi

Thanks very much to you all  for your help.  Would any of you know of a marriage between Frances Higgs & John Woodley Windus in 1845 Berkshire?  I have the marriage certificates for my other Higgs and this is the only one that I don't have.  I am not sure if I have the correct Frances/Fanny Higgs as the one that married John died in 1848 in the USA (Ancestry family trees) and I also have information that a Fanny Higgs died in infancy in 1827.

The marriage of Frances HIGGS is not in the marriage index but it is on FreeBMD -  Wallingford RD Q1 1845, vol 6 page 309. (I think you probably need to order this cert.)
The Berkshire burial index does have the infant death:

The Berks FHS marriage index only covers marriages up to 1837, and doesn't cover the Wallingford area anyway.

After 1837 the GRO index is the best place to look.
