Look up for a QUINCE Marriage Please
« on: Thursday 12 January 12 16:12 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I wonder if it is at all possible for someone to help with lookup for a Marriage for me between a John Quince b c 1805 and Elizabeth?
They had a son in 1822-Samuel Quince b Newmarket, as far as I know he was their first born so guess marraige would be a year or so before, don't have much more info to go on at the moment.
Many thanks
Baggsy B

He's not a first-born.

James 09 Jul 1826
Elizabeth 12 Nov 1828
Susan 21 Mar 1832
Sarah 18 Aug 1820

Where did John's age come from?

Hi

I have searched the Suffolk Marriage Index 1813 - 1837 which is complete for those dates and there is no sign of a marriage for John.  So he either married outside of the county or before 1813 or he did not in fact marry.

Sorry

Rick :(

Hi,

In 1861 census a son Henry aged 47 is with widow Elizabeth so could be before 1813?

John's date of birth came from family member who started the same tree but never got to finsh any of it so could easily be wrong. thank you for info so far though.
It's my other halfs family and "later family members" all lived in and around Littleport chatteris and wood ditton cambs.

Taken from Newmarket All Saints parish register.

Samuel s/o John and Elizabeth Quince baptised 12th November 1822
John Quince =  a post lad (as stated on later baptisms i.e. against that of Susan 21/3/1832)
